Ian Liu, M.D., J.D., M.S., M.P.H. 

Ian is a postdoctoral research fellow with PORTAL. Born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona, he completed his undergraduate studies in Spanish and Cellular Biology (BA, BS) at the University of Arizona. He holds an MD from the University of Colorado, a JD from New York University, an MS in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of Arizona, and an MPH in Epidemiology from the University of Alabama – Birmingham. His research focuses on the intersection of law, medicine, and public policy, where he is interested in aligning healthcare system incentives to improve patient care and outcomes.
