Doni Bloomfield, J.D.

Doni Bloomfield is a postdoctoral research fellow with PORTAL. His research focuses on the relationship between competition, intellectual property, and pharmaceuticals. His current working papers include pieces on competition and risk and revamping merger review. Prior to law school, he worked as a biotechnology journalist for Bloomberg News. His work has appeared in Bloomberg, Businessweek, Slate, the Boston Globe, and the Seattle Times. He has held summer positions at the Federal Trade Commission’s Bureau of Competition, the U.S. Department of Justice’s Antitrust Division, the San Francisco Office of the Public Defender, and in Davis Polk & Wardwell’s antitrust practice. Doni holds a J.D. from Yale Law School and a B.A. from the University of Chicago.
