Brooke Raunig, J.D., R.N.

Brooke earned her J.D. from California Western School of Law and is admitted to the State Bar of California. Prior to law school, Brooke received her A.S.N. from Montana Tech and worked as a registered nurse in psychiatry and chemical dependency. During this time, she earned her B.S.N. from Chamberlain College of Nursing, and she now holds an active R.N. license in both Montana and California.
During law school, Brooke served as the Editor-in-Chief of the California Western Law Review and as a judicial extern to the Honorable William Q. Hayes. She also planned and executed the legal symposium, Artificial Intelligence and Real-World Ethics, consisting of several panel discussions and resulting publications. After graduation, she served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Barbara L. Major before joining the PORTAL research team. Brooke’s interests in health law are vast and she has previously published work on the women’s health in the context of hospital mergers and religious doctrine. At PORTAL, her research focuses on issues related to addiction, intellectual property, drug supply chains, and improving transparency in the pharmaceutical industry.
