Beatrice (Bea) Brown

Beatrice (Bea) Brown is a Research Specialist with PORTAL. She received her B.A. in Ethics, Politics, & Economics from Yale University and her MBE (Master of Bioethics) from Harvard Medical School. During her MBE, Bea was a Student Fellow at the Petrie-Flom Center for Health Law Policy, Biotechnology, and Bioethics at Harvard Law School. Some of her research interests include prescription drug pricing, affordability, and access; the effects of drug pricing on patient care and health disparities; and research ethics. Bea's work with PORTAL has appeared in Annals of Internal Medicine and Health Affairs. She continues to regularly contribute to Petrie-Flom’s blog, Bill of Health—her posts can be found here.
