Spencer P. Hey, Ph.D.
Dr. Hey is a postdoctoral fellow focusing on ethical, methodological, and policy issues that emerge across drug development and clinical research portfolios. He will be a primary investigator for the initial PBRC projects, directing all activities, performing data extraction and AERO analysis, as well as leading ethical and policy analyses and manuscript composition.
Dr. Hey is working on the interplay between methodology, ethics, and regulation in clinical trials, with a particular focus on challenges surrounding the use of biomarkers in drug development. He has published papers in Science, PLoS Medicine, and BMJ. He also serves as a faculty member at the Harvard Center for Bioethics, where he co-teaches a core course on research ethics.
